On 30 January 2025 from 2 p.m., the Deichverband Bislich-Landesgrenze invites you to a ‘Theme Day against Flood Dementia’ at the Bürgerhaus Rees to draw attention to the dangers of flooding and heavy rainfall. 30 years after the last major flood on the Rhine in 1995, the need for education and personal precautions is emphasised, as not all sections of the dyke have been renovated and 100% flood protection cannot be guaranteed. The Hochwasser Kompetenz Centrum e.V. (Flood Competence Centre) will provide information on property protection against heavy rain and flooding with an information mobile. The aim is to raise awareness of the risks and create greater public awareness for a more targeted water management policy.
