On 21 January, from 10:00 to 12:00 CET, a free webinar on the Integrated Wildfire Risk Management (IWRM) Strategy for Europe will take place. The webinar will provide an opportunity for feedback from FirEUrisk Observatory members and other interested stakeholders.

The FirEUrisk project aims to develop a conceptual framework that integrates the assessment, reduction and adaptation of forest fire risks at local, regional, national and EU level. The aim of the project is to create science-based guidelines and principles that can be applied across Europe to better assess, mitigate and adapt to forest fire risks.

Although there is no universal solution, it is recognised that different countries and regions around the world have successfully implemented different forest fire risk management structures. The FirEUrisk project focuses on building sound scientific knowledge and best practices supported by well-organised fire management authorities and stable governance structures.

The webinar will be held in English. Registration for the webinar is mandatory and is valid for one person per registration. Interested parties can register here.
