The Disaster Risk Reduction Conference is an annual conference that promotes the exchange of national and international humanitarian disaster risk reduction experts. Organised by the German Red Cross and supported by various partners, the 2025 event will take place on 26 and 27 March in Berlin as a hybrid event. The theme is ‘From Climate Change to Crisis: Integrating Climate Change Aspects into Disaster Risk Reduction’. Around 200 participants are expected on site and over 1,000 online.

Sessions of 45 and 90 minutes can be offered in various formats (presentations, workshops, discussions, etc.), with the aim of actively involving the participants. Sessions can be hybrid, online or face-to-face, with a balance between German and English. Proposals for sessions must be submitted by 20 November 2024. The evaluation will be based on the relevance, quality and diversity of the content.
