Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser and Minister of State Anna Lührmann have honoured around 240 THW volunteers for their worldwide deployment in recent months. The THW forces have provided assistance in disaster situations, aid supplies and international exercises, including in Slovenia and during EU MODEX exercises. Particular mention was made of the extensive aid transport for Ukraine, in which goods worth over 130 million euros have been delivered since 2022. At a reception at the Federal Foreign Office, the THW emergency services reported on their deployment experiences and the gratitude of the local population.
