 w’s Cities Community of Practice findet die erste Veranstaltung unter de
 m Titel „Urban Risk Research and Practice“ statt. Die Reihe ist eine g
 emeinsame Initiative des Tomorrow’s Cities Project und der RISK-KAN Work
 ing Group on Cities and Critical Infrastructure. Beide Netzwerke verfolgen
  einen transdisziplinären Ansatz mit dem Ziel\, wissenschaftliche Erkennt
 nisse stärker in das Risikomanagement komplexer urbaner Räume zu integri
 eren.\nDie Auftaktveranstaltung widmet sich den Herausforderungen und Chan
 cen einer risikoinformierten\, multi-hazard-orientierten Stadtplanung. Dis
 kutiert werden Erfahrungen aus verschiedenen Städten weltweit\, darunter 
 Quito\, Nakuru\, Nairobi\, Istanbul\, Dar es Salaam\, Nablus\, Kathmandu\,
  Rapti\, Cox’s Bazar und Chattogram\, sowie Perspektiven internationaler
  Partnerorganisationen wie UN-Habitat und UCLG. Ausgangspunkt ist der Impa
 ct-Monitoring-Prozess des Tomorrow’s Cities Project (2024)\, anhand dess
 en zentrale Hemmnisse\, Herausforderungen und mögliche Lösungsansätze r

 Anmeldung\n\n\n\nThe first session of the Tomorrow’s Cities Community of
  Practice Webinar Series\, titled “Urban Risk Research and Practice”\,
  brings together the Tomorrow’s Cities Project and the RISK-KAN Working 
 Group on Cities and Critical Infrastructure. Both initiatives are transdis
 ciplinary networks focused on integrating science into improved risk manag
 ement in complex urban environments.\nThe webinar will explore challenges 
 and opportunities in advancing multi-hazard\, risk-informed urban planning
 . Perspectives from city representatives – including Quito\, Nakuru\, Na
 irobi\, Istanbul\, Dar es Salaam\, Nablus\, Kathmandu\, Rapti\, Cox’s Ba
 zar and Chattogram – as well as international partners such as UN-Habita
 t and UCLG will inform the discussion. The session will draw on the Tomorr
 ow’s Cities Project impact monitoring process (2024) to reflect on key c
