DESCRIPTION:Cities worldwide are increasingly facing hazards and shocks tha
 t highlight the urgent need for improved resilience and climate action. Th
 e rising frequency of climate-related natural disasters poses unique chall
 enges for urban areas\, often exacerbating socio-economic inequalities and
  disproportionately affecting vulnerable populations.\n\nThe "Making Citie
 s Resilient 2030" (MCR2030) initiative will host a webinar on climate and 
 disaster resilience in cities. Experts will present innovative strategies\
 , best practices\, and tools to enhance urban resilience\, with a focus on
  knowledge sharing and peer learning. The event targets city officials\, u
 rban planners\, disaster risk reduction specialists\, and climate adaptati
 on experts. Organized in collaboration with UNDRR\, AIT RRC.AP\, UN-Habita
 t\, UCLG\, and ICLEI\, the webinar aims to support cities in building sust
 ainable resilience against increasing climate challenges.
