SUMMARY:The Impact of Crises on Critical Infrastucture
DESCRIPTION:Crises can come in different forms and dimensions and serve as 
 stress tests for critical infrastructures. The world has seen various cris
 es in the past decade\, such as pandemics\, wars\, droughts\, and vegetati
 on fires and resulting function failures. Theses crises have affected\, tr
 ansformed\, and reshaped critical infrastructures\, such as\, philosophy\,
  engineering\, architecture\, and more\, influencing how they are perceive
 d and discussed. Crises play a vital role in defining the meaning and unde
 rstanding of criticality and vulnerability\, and they can lead to transfor
 mation processes in critical infrastuctures. Besides\, crisis not only rev
 eal vulnerability\, and they can lead to transformation processes in criti
 cal infrastuctures. Besdies\, crisis not only reveal vulnerabilities but a
 lso require responsibility\, trust\, and transformation processes. These t
 erms are re-evaluated in the context of trust in technology\, security\, h
 umans\, and critical infrastructures in general. Who is responsible\, and 
 who must trust?\nThe KRITIS research training group has an interdisciplina
 ry socio-technical perspective and aims to address such questions at the c
 onference. The event intents to bring together experts from diffferent fie
 lds\, such as philosophy\, political sicence\, civil engineering\, compute
 r science\, urban and spatial planning\, architecture\, sociology\, and hi
 story as well as practitioners form public administration and infrastructu
 re operators.\n\nThe conference will take place on 26th September 2024 in
