 se on Wildfire Research des Forest Fire Research Centre (CEIF) der ADAI an
  der Universität Coimbra bietet vom 22. bis 26. Juni 2026 in Coimbra\, Po
 rtugal\, einen umfassenden Einblick in die aktuelle Waldbrandforschung und
  das Wildfire-Management.\n\nIm Mittelpunkt des englischsprachigen Kurses 
 stehen zentrale Themen wie Feuerverhalten\, Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI)
 \, innovative Technologien\, Entscheidungsunterstützungssysteme sowie pra
 xisnahe Ansätze im Umgang mit Vegetationsbränden. Besonders spannend ist
  die Verbindung aus wissenschaftlicher Expertise und praktischer Anwendung
 : Teilnehmende erhalten Zugang zum LEIF | Forest Fire Research Laboratory 
 und besuchen brandbetroffene Gebiete in Portugal\, um Herausforderungen un
 d Lösungsansätze direkt vor Ort kennenzulernen.\n\nDie Veranstaltung ric
 htet sich insbesondere an Forschende\, Studierende\, Fachkräfte aus Behö
 rden\, Feuerwehren\, Katastrophenschutz\, Umwelt- und Forstmanagement sowi

  of the Summer Course on Wildfire Research\, organised by the Forest Fire 
 Research Centre (CEIF) of ADAI at the University of Coimbra\, will take pl

  insights into current wildfire research and wildfire management.\n\nThe E
 nglish-language course focuses on key topics such as fire behaviour\, the 
 wildland-urban interface (WUI)\, innovative technologies\, decision suppor
 t systems\, and practical approaches to vegetation fire management. A part
 icular highlight is the strong connection between scientific expertise and
  hands-on application: participants will gain access to the LEIF | Forest 
 Fire Research Laboratory and visit fire-affected areas in Portugal to expl
 ore challenges and solutions directly on site.\n\nThe event is especially 
 relevant for researchers\, students\, professionals from public authoritie
 s\, fire services\, civil protection\, environmental and forest management
