SUMMARY:Submission of articles about Natural Hazards\, Disasters\, and Extr
 eme Events
DESCRIPTION:The IOP Publishing team for Environmental Research Letters (ERL
 ) wants to publish a collaborative focus issue that brings together resear
 ch articles\, reviews\, and perspectives to provide an overall view of ext
 reme events in relation to climate change\, human health and wellbeing\, t
 he built environment\, infrastructure and ecology\, biodiversity and conse
 rvation at the local\, regional\, and global scale.\n\nTherefore\, article
 s can be submitted that investigate the mechanisms behind extreme events\,
  the vulnerability of our planet to natural hazards\, and the environmenta
 l and/or social impact they have. Also articles about methods and tools fo
 r the prediction\, determination and monitoring of risk\, and papers on ma
 nagement\, planning and adaptation at the local\, national and internation
 al level towards a sustainable and resilient future are welcomed.\n\nThe a
 rticles will be published in one of eight participating fully open access 
 journals.\n\nSubmissions will be considered until 30 June 2024. \n\nArticl
