SUMMARY:Security Research Event in Brussels
DESCRIPTION:The Security Research Event (SRE) is organised by the European 
 Commission\, and supported by the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the
  European Union\, and Sweden.\n\nIndustry\, policy-makers\, knowledge inst
 itutions\, and practitioners will come together to discuss the state of pl
 ay for European Security Research and Innovation\, and how best to tackle 
 emerging security issues using EU-funded research. This year’s event wil
 l focus on challenges stemming from global megatrends\, which are shifting
  the ground for security in the EU. The main themes are embraced by the ev
 ent’s title: “Societal transformations\, climate change and digitalisa
 tion – a new paradigm of Security Research?”\n\nThe event will consist
  of a conference and an exhibition. The Conference will address the main t
 hemes of the event through 5 cross-cutting panels made up of practitioners
 \, policy-makers\, researchers and civil society representatives.\n\nYou c
