DESCRIPTION:The Economic Frontiers (EF) Program at IIASA is looking to recr
 uit two research scholars with a strong background in mathematical and/or 
 empirical modeling in the fields of environmental\, energy or welfare econ
 omics to work on the projects JUSTCOAL and MULTIFUTURES. The EF Program a
 spires to provide a comprehensive\, rigorous\, and multidisciplinary frame
 work for studying the changes to economic systems and behaviors that are r
 equired to shift production and consumption to patterns that are fair\, su
 stainable\, and resilient. Explicit consideration is given to\n\n(i) Eco
 nomics of equal life chances\,\n\n(ii) Economics of disruptive changes\,\n
 \n(iii) Economic governance of transitional change\,\n\n(iv) Economic deve
 lopment and wellbeing in a finite and interlinked world.\n\nThe program’
 s research integrates tightly with the natural\, environmental\, populatio
 n\, and systems science frameworks that IIASA is leading on\, thus providi
 ng the multi-disciplinary approach needed for an understanding of the tran
 sition to sustainable\, fair and resilient economies.\n\nDeadline: 31. Jan
