DESCRIPTION:The Interconnected Disaster Risk Report is a science-based repo
 rt written for the public with strong communication focus and serves and U
 NU-EHS flagship publication. The first report was published in September 2
 021\, followed by the second in 2022. The United Nations University Instit
 ute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) is seeking to fill a new 
 Research Associate position to co-author the report and respective technic
 al background reports in 2023 Under the supervision of the Director of UNU
 -EHS and the direct supervision of the Deputy Director\, the successful ca
 ndidate will be assigned the following duties:\n\n 	Contribute to the rese
 arch on the topics of the annual Interconnected Disaster Risk report\n 	Co
 ntribute to the writing of the annual Interconnected Disaster Risk Report\
 n 	Contribute to the visualization and the development of communication pr
 oducts\n 	Contribute to the internal communication\n 	Perform other duties
  as assigned by supervisor\n\nFor the application a Master’s degree with
  high academic standing in Geography\, Environmental Sciences\, Anthropolo
 gy\, Behavioral Science\, Sustainability Science\, or other relevant disci
 pline is necessary.This is a full-time employment on a twelve (12) months 
 Personnel Service Agreement (PSA) contract with possibility for renewal su
 bject to requirements and satisfactory work performance\, with the combine
 d duration of appointments not exceeding six (6) years.This post is open t
 o applicants from all countries and UNU will aid the successful applicant 
 in securing a work visa for Germany\, as necessary. It is\, however\, a lo
 cally recruited post and no relocation allowances apply. The duty station
