DESCRIPTION:The UN Global Assessment Report on Disaster Risk Reduction Spec
 ial Report 2023: Measuring resilience for the Sustainable Development Goal
 s (GAR SR 2023) explores what risk-informed sustainable development looks 
 like in an increasingly complex and risky world. It highlights how risks a
 re interconnected and how pitfalls can be transformed into opportunities t
 o build resilience. It aims to support government policymakers charged wit
 h the difficult and innovative work of risk-informing development to face 
 the increasingly complex set of threats resulting from the deepening clima
 te crisis and other threats.\n\nIn the frame of the High-Level Political F
 orum (HLPF) 2023 in New York the report will be launched to highlight the 
 importance of disaster resilience as a tool to accelerate full implementat
