 il 2023 at 16:00 CEST concerning the question "How Should Climate Change U
 ncertainty Impact Social Valuation and Policy?"\n\nThe webinar will examin
 e the transition to a carbon neutral economy through innovation and R&amp\
 ;D to reduce the cost of carbon abatement. It also focuses on the economic
  and geoscientific uncertainties associated with this transition and how t
 hese mechanisms affect society's valuation of climate change externalities
 . It is shown that uncertainty about climate dynamics\, economic damages f
 rom climate change and the arrival of carbon-neutral technology shocks lea
 ds to a focus on R&amp\;D investment rather than direct emission reduction
 s\, with the social value of R&amp\;D increasing significantly when these 
 uncertainties are considered together. Michael Barnett\, Assistant Profess
 or of Finance in the Department of Finance at Arizona State University’s
