DESCRIPTION:Next week's Landscapes Live seminar will be presented by Dan Pa
 rsons\, a researcher from Loughborough University in the UK\, on Thursday\
 , June 5th\, 2025\, at 16:00 CEST. Dan Parsons specializes in flood risk a
 nd geomorphology and will discuss how changes in river channel morphology 
 affect flood hazard and risk assessments. His research reveals that curren
 t global flood models often underestimate flood hazards and population exp
 osure because they do not account for dynamic changes in river channels ca
 used by erosion and sedimentation\, as demonstrated in his study of the Mi
 ssissippi River floodplain using the Fathom model.\nThe seminar will be he
