 der ersten Märzwoche 2026 zu zwei Online-Vortragsveranstaltungen ein.\nAm
  3. März 2026 von 05:00 bis 07:00 Uhr (UTC) findet die erste Veranstaltun
 g mit Schwerpunkt auf der Asien-Pazifik-Region statt. Edward Park (Singapu
 r) spricht über die Auswirkungen des Sandabbaus im Mekong-Delta\, Rayees 
 Ahmed (Indien) über zunehmende Gefahren durch Gletscherseeausbrüche in G
 ebirgsregionen.\nDie zweite Veranstaltung folgt am 6. März 2026 von 16:00
  bis 18:00 Uhr (UTC) und richtet sich insbesondere an Teilnehmende aus Eur
 opa und Amerika. Ian Evans (UK) referiert zu Gebirgsvergletscherung und de
 r Buzz-saw-Hypothese\, Richard Marston (USA) beleuchtet anhand von Fallstu
 dien die Rolle der Geomorphologie im natürlichen Ressourcenmanagement.\nD

 \nThe first event will take place on 3 March 2026 from 05:00 to 07:00 UTC\
 , primarily addressing participants from the Asia-Pacific region. Edward P
 ark (Singapore) will present on sand mining in the Mekong Delta and its co
 mpounded impacts\, while Rayees Ahmed (India) will discuss increasing haza
 rds and risks from glacial lake outburst floods in mountain regions.\nThe 
 second event will be held on 6 March 2026 from 16:00 to 18:00 UTC\, mainly
  targeting participants from Europe and the Americas. Ian Evans (UK) will 
 speak on mountain glaciation and the buzz-saw hypothesis\, and Richard Mar
 ston (USA) will reflect on the role of geomorphology in natural resource m
 anagement through case studies from his career.\nBoth events will be condu
