DESCRIPTION:COVALEX (Community of Valued Experts in Hydrometeorological and
  Technological Multi-Hazards) is an EU-funded project that aims to create 
 a community of experts in hydrometeorological and technological hazards (t
 hunderstorms\, heavy snowfall\, droughts\, hot and cold spells etc.). The 
 goal of COVALEX is to bundle and make use of different experiences\, geogr
 aphical locations\, and networks\, and to promote prevention\, preparation
 \, and testing processes. The project brings together key stakeholders inv
 olved in risk and disaster governance: academics\, practitioners\, and pol
 icy makers.\n\nOn 23rd November 2023 at 11:00 (CEST) COVALEX is holding a 
 seminar on "Impact-Based Forecasting in Humanitarian Operations".\n\nThe g
 oal of the webinar is to share the good practice of the development of an 
 Impact-Based Forecast (IBF) system under the EU-funded Programme PPRD EAST
  3\, aimed at introducing Early Warning to Early Action strategies into hu
