SUMMARY:FirEUrisk Demonstration Event: European Territory fire risk
DESCRIPTION:The FirEUrisk Project has developed a science-based strategy t
 o tackle wildfire risk\, already validated in five regions across Europe: 
 Barcelona province\, central Portugal\, central Europe\, Kalmar county and
  Attica region. On 16th September 2024\, the FirEUrisk project together wi
 th the University of Alcala will host a hybrid demonstration to evaluate t
 he developed methodologies for European forest fire risks. The event is ai
 med at experts and researchers in the field of forest fires and will cover
  topics such as risk assessment\, fire spread and adaptation strategies.\n
 \n Demonstration objectives :\n- Critical assessment of the methods/produ
 cts developed within the FirEUrisk project for the European Territory.\n- 
 Validation/semi-operational test for the summer of 2024 fire season\n\nWhe
 n: 16th September 2024\, from 9:00 to 18:00 CEST time\n\nWhere: in person
  in the city of Milan\, Italy but online participation is also possible\n
