DESCRIPTION:-English Version below-\nDer DRR Stammtisch Lunchtalk wird vom 
 Disaster Competence Network Austria (DCNA) in Kooperation mit der National
 en Plattform Naturgefahren (PLANAT) veranstaltet und findet als Online-Ver
 anstaltung über MS Teams statt. Im Mittelpunkt stehen innovative Monitori
 ng-Strategien und aktuelle Entwicklungen in der Lawinen- und Gletscherfors
 chung mit Blick auf die Katastrophenvorsorge in alpinen Regionen.\nVor dem
  Hintergrund klimabedingter Veränderungen wie steigender Temperaturen\, t
 auendem Permafrost und dem Rückzug von Gletschern beleuchtet der Lunchtal
 k\, wie sich Gefährdungsregime verändern und neue\, bislang kaum bekannt
 e Extremereignisse entstehen. Diskutiert werden die daraus resultierenden 
 Herausforderungen für Risikobewertung\, Frühwarnung und Katastrophenmana
 gement sowie die Frage\, wie wissenschaftliche Forschung\, Monitoring-Inst
 itutionen und öffentliche Stellen besser zusammenarbeiten können\, um ne
 ue Erkenntnisse zeitnah in wirksame Entscheidungen zu übersetzen.\nMit An
 drea Fischer von der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften (ÖAW) 
 und Jan-Thomas Fischer vom Bundesforschungszentrum für Wald (BFW) geben z
 wei ausgewiesene Expert:innen Einblicke in aktuelle Forschungsansätze und
  Monitoringmethoden im alpinen Raum. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich insbes
 ondere an Schnee- und Lawinenforscher:innen\, Einsatzkräfte\, Bergrettung
 sorganisationen sowie weitere Fachakteur:innen aus der Katastrophenvorsorg
 e und dem Risikomanagement.\n\n\n\nDRR Stammtisch Lunchtalk: Innovative Mo
 nitoring Strategies in Avalanche and Glacier Research for Disaster Prepare
 dness\n\n\nThe DRR Stammtisch Lunchtalk is hosted by the Disaster Competen
 ce Network Austria (DCNA) in cooperation with the National Platform for Na

 he Lunchtalk focuses on innovative monitoring strategies and recent develo
 pments in avalanche and glacier research in the context of disaster prepar

 ng temperatures\, thawing permafrost\, and glacier retreat\, the event wil
 l examine how hazard regimes are evolving and how new\, unprecedented extr
 eme events are emerging. Key topics include the implications of these chan
 ges for risk assessment\, early warning\, and disaster management\, as wel
 l as the question of how scientific research\, monitoring institutions\, a
 nd public authorities can improve cooperation to ensure that new knowledge
  is effectively translated into decision-making processes.\nThe Lunchtalk 
 features contributions from Andrea Fischer (Austrian Academy of Sciences\,
  ÖAW) and Jan-Thomas Fischer (Austrian Research Centre for Forests\, BFW)
 \, who will provide insights into current research approaches and monitori
