DESCRIPTION:The Asian Disaster Preparedness Center is recruting a communica
 tions officer in Bangkok. The ADPC is an autonomous international organisa
 tion established for scientific\, educational\, developmental and humanita
 rian purposes with a vision of safe communities and sustainable developmen
 t through disaster risk reduction and climate resilience in Asia and the P
 acific. ADPC develops and implements cross-sectoral projects/programs on t
 he strategic themes of risk governance\, urban resilience\, climate resili
 ence\, health risk management\, preparedness for response and resilient re
 covery and thus supports the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Di
 saster Risk Reduction\, the Sustainabel Development Goals\, the New Urban 
 Agenda\, and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The Communicat
 ions Officer reports directly to the Senior Communications and Outreach Ad
 visor and is also expected to work closely with scientific and thematic te
 ams of the department\, and other natonal and regional stakeholders.\n\nDe
