 isk Management for Sustainable Development
DESCRIPTION:\n\nThis course is the successor of the 50th Disaster Managemen
 t Course held by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) on the 13.1
 1.-24.11.2023. The course offers skills and knowledge on disaster risk man
 agement and adopts a multi-hazard\, multi-level\, multi-agency and multi-d
 isciplinary approaches for DRR and risk-informed sustainable development. 
 The course incorporates new relevant concepts and topics such as risk-info
 rmed development planning\, transparency and accountability\, monitoring a
 nd evaluation through case study discussion and field visits.\n\nThe cours
 e is aimed at IFRC/ ICRC\; international and local NGOs\; NGOs involved in
  disaster risk reduction response and recovery\; staff from training insti
 tutes and other agencies responsible for knowledge dissemination and train
 ing of trainers on disaster risk reduction and management\; persons involv
 ed in coordination of disaster management activities e.g.\, defense forces
  and emergency services\; and UN agencies. Government officials and decisi
 on-makers are also encouraged to participate so they can better support DR
 M efforts.\n\nThe course consists of seven modules and its result will be 
 a tailored DRM action plan for sustainable development that participants w
 ill work on when they return to their organization.\n\nIt will take place 
 as a hybrid event\; the first three modules will be held as online classes
 \, while the rest will be face to face modules in Bangok\, Thailand.\n\nPl
